Materials Manager

Job Description:

Core function: planning and control of work in process to the finished product. An effective Materials Manager will ensure that available goods can satisfy customer demand, minimize waste, manage inventory levels and keep output in line with the company’s balance sheet.

Plan material requirementsPlan production schedulesPlan capacity requirementsMeasure operational performance against the planReceive and distribute productDevelop or maintain reports, analytics and metricsAlign demand with sourcing activitiesDefine and execute on physical inventory and/or cycle count policyAlign inventory requirements with sales and operations planning and/or the demand scheduleTrain and guide employees

Skills & Qualifications:

7+ years' experience in materials management3 years’ experience in previous management roleProduction planning/scheduling Inventory management Ability to make quick, accurate decisionsDemonstrated ability to problem solveDemonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organizationStrong communication skillsExcellent organizational and project management skills

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $57.70/hr.
