*Note: this is a full-time position for 12 to 18 months due to leave coverage with a strong possibility of additional follow-on opportunities.
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Supply Chain Manager to join our team at Wesko. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of material supply and aligning supply chain and inventory management with Wesko’s overall strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute Wesko’s supply chain strategy Manage all purchasing and inventory related activities to ensure customer orders are filled on time Lead and manage supplier relationships and supplier performance Lead sourcing efforts and initiatives Oversee demand and material planning Ensure compliance with import/export regulations Initiate and implement process improvement projects, cost savings projects related to inventory control Coordinate and collaborate with group-level and divisional resources Other responsibilities as required.
The most competitive candidates will have:
Experience in a small-business environment as a hands-on leader implementing supply chain and inventory management best practices. Ability to travel as necessary
Education and Experience:
University degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management or similar focus. Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment with global suppliers.
