BJC’s patients have access to the latest advances in medical science and technology through a formal affiliation between Barnes-Jewish Hospital and St. Louis Children’s Hospital with the renowned Washington University School of Medicine, which consistently ranks among the top medical schools in the country. **Preferred Qualifications** **Role Purpose** The Materials Manager is responsible for managing up to $14M of finished goods inventory for the HSO. This position provides daily support to the distribution team on the material flow of goods through the HSO. This position also works with supply chain and clinical staff to improve forecasting, ensuring inventory is in place to meet patient demands. The Materials Manager reports to the HSO operations management with a dotted line into Supply Planning Manager and is expected to have extensive functional and technical knowledge of inventory strategy and tactics. **Responsibilities** + Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership. + Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets.
