The Materials Manager is an integral member of ADI's distribution and operations team with focus on optimization of warehousing functions to support world class customer service levels while delivering on financial business targets.
Through a fully hands on approach, the Materials Manager will lead ADI's facility to establish best practices and make recommendations to the business for scaling new technology, layout, workflows, and automation across ADI's North America DC network.
The Materials Manager is accountable for keeping the center moving by ensuring product is received, shipped and accurately delivered on time, every time. Empower team members to achieve business objectives by hiring the right people, developing, coaching and retaining top talent.
Key Accountabilities
Responsible for the performance of the center related to inbound operations, warehouse operations, outbound shipments and inventory control. Ensure a healthy and safe work environment within DC Monitor and report out on KPI performance to goals; build and implement gap closure plans as needed Coaches, trains and develops team members informally (on-floor training) and formally (written evaluations) Creates a team member centered workplace that demonstrates care and concern for all Deliver on customer service level and quality expectations Engage in integrated business planning with Inventory, Sales, Category Management teams to proactively identify optimization opportunities around non-standard throughput including but not limited to; import container buys, large customer project staging, bulk buys, and customer specific requirements Drive ADI's Business Excellence culture throughout DC, including continuous improvement, recognition, transparency, and communication Champion change management and team adoption of new Warehouse Management System Adapt, establish and document core process SOP's in new site Enhance team member satisfaction through effective motivation, training, and development Achieve cost reduction and productivity targets Understand where department performance gaps are and follow up when not meeting performance expectations Risk Management & Inventory Control Ensure DC is well equipped and equipment maintenance programs are in place to support productivity and safetyYOU MUST HAVE:
5+ years of experience leading a distribution center WMS experience Demonstrated ability to drive change management and continuous improvement throughout a site. Significant experience of warehousing operations; budgeting; personnel management; and administrative techniques Ability to regularly stand, walk, reach, and crouch. Prior experience working within a 5S or Lean environment.WE VALUE:
