Materials Manager

As **Materials Manager** , you will be the driving force behind our materials planning, inventory strategy, procurement, and warehouse flow. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, accepts change, and leads with strategic clarity and executional excellence. **In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:** + **Lead the Flow** : Be responsible for all aspects of material movement—from receiving to storage, issuing to production, and outbound shipping. Ensure the right materials are in the right place at the right time. + **Drive Planning Excellence** : Build and implement strategic materials and inventory plans that balance customer needs with lean inventory practices. + **Optimize Supply Chain** : Define and improve processes that ensure flawless material and information flow across departments, using data-driven insights to support production schedules and mitigate disruptions. + **Ensure Accuracy & Control** : Champion inventory integrity through cycle counting, audits, and system accuracy, ensuring trust in our numbers. + **Improve Purchasing Strategy** : Lead tactical purchasing, reduce cost variances (PPV), avoid stockouts, and maintain service level excellence while supporting strategic sourcing decisions + **Respond with Agility** : Adapt inventory levels based on changing customer demand, supply chain constraints, and production needs. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure proactive planning. + **Lead with Lean** : Be a motivator for continuous improvement. Drive lean methodologies that reduce waste, improve flow, and increase visibility in material operations. + **Build a High-Impact Team** : Lead, mentor, and inspire a dedicated team of professionals in planning, procurement, warehousing, and logistics to deliver outstanding results. **Who You Are:** + You anticipate customer needs and provide services that are beyond customer expectations. + You formulate a clear strategy and map aggressive steps that will accelerate the organization toward its goals. + You create teamwork allowing others across the organization to achieve shared objectives. + You use knowledge of business drivers and how strategies and tactics play out in the market to guide actions. + You leverage each team member’s unique background to achieve team goals. **For This Role, You Will Need:** + Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical, or business field + 7+ years in materials management + Proven track record in inventory accuracy, procurement strategies, and warehouse optimization + ERP system expertise (Oracle preferred) **Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:** + Master’s degree + 5+ years working in a lean manufacturing environment **Our Culture & Commitment to You:** At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
