JOB SUMMARY
The Materials Management Manager position is responsible for planning, directing, implementing and coordinating the overall functions of the Materials Management Department including receiving, storage, PAR maintenance and inventory control. The Manager ensures efficient and cost effective utilization, and distribution of supplies and equipment throughout facility. The individual acts as a leader by building constructive relationships and by supporting the organization in developing, setting, and executing department goals and the strategic plan in accordance with the mission statement.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required:
Associate’s Degree in Business, Logistics, Material Management or comparable discipline.Four years’ of demonstrated increasingly responsibility within a logistics environment in addition to the experience below will be considered in lieu of an Associate’s Degree.Preferred/Optional: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance, Materials Management or comparable disciple.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required:
Four years’ of progressively more responsible experience in business functions such as purchasing, shipping, distribution.
Preferred/Optional: Two years management experience. Five years’ of Logistics or Warehouse Supervision Experience.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
