Position Description
Kinder Morgan, Inc. is one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America. We own an interest in or operate approximately 79,000 miles of pipelines, 139 terminals, and 15 LNG/RNG process facilities. Our pipelines transport natural gas, refined petroleum products, crude oil, condensate, CO2 and other products. Our terminals transload and store liquid commodities including petroleum products, ethanol and chemicals, liquified natural gas, landfill renewable natural gas, and bulk products, including petroleum coke, metals and ores. This position will support the LNG/RNG facilities located in Indiana, Michigan, and Kentucky.

Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Accounting, Supply Chain Management or related discipline is preferred.
Experience/Specific Knowledge:
2-3 years of experience in Materials Management, Purchasing, Operations, Engineering or related field preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Applications including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Power PointKnowledge and certification of forklift operations.Knowledge of materials such as loose fittings, valves, pipe, etc.Safety awareness.

Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license, and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.Subject to random drug testingCompetencies, skills, and abilities:

Travel may be required across a broad geographic region, as determined by Hiring Manager. Job level and salary commensurate with experience and skill sets. May be required to carry a company-provided cell phone and respond as needed during working and non-working hours.May be required to work non-traditional hours as needed. Must be available to respond to call-outs as assigned.Perform work in dusty environment and all types of temperature/weather conditions.

Preferred Education, experience, competencies, certifications, skills, and abilities:
Above the minimum requirements. Not required, but adventageous for the position
Experience with Lawson Inventory Control, Requisition and Procurement modules. Knowledge of Kinder Morgan business and Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Plants. Demonstrated understanding of Kinder Morgan business units and shared service departments.
Other responsibilities: Attend weekly Ops Supervisor meeting to understand upcoming activity and any material requirementsAttend monthly OPEX Master Variance meeting or equivalent to provide updates on material spendingTrack material spending in Cost Tracing spreadsheet for PO issued itemsComplete RFM/RFS, POs as needed including Bids and ReceivingTrack KM Trailers and RegistrationTrack Recyclables, Metal Dumpsters, Used Filters and Waste as neededVisit multiple plants in Indiana, Michigan, and Kentucky. Primarily travel will be day trips within Indiana, with an occasional overnight trip to Michigan. One night per month should be anticipated.
