Materials Lead
**Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Materials Lead for a first shift position at our manufacturing facility. The role involves maintaining and organizing material and inventory for a multiple line production facility using 5-S methodologies. You will ensure the smooth flow of products from the warehouse to the production lines, preventing any disruptions. **Responsibilities** + Oversee the allocation of resources to meet customer demand. + Maintain clear communication with supervisors and foster team development. + Execute efficient warehouse operations and customer service. + Conduct cycle counts and manage inventory. + Operate forklifts and handle warehouse operations. + Read and interpret production line schedules to coordinate material needs. + Track materials sent to the line to prevent overruns and track scrap. + Check-in, receive, label, and move products to designated locations. + Ensure timely offloading of inbound materials. + Load and unload trucks, validating against needs list. + Transfer products safely and efficiently. + Complete and document quality audits of inbound materials. + Organize and utilize warehouse space effectively. + Take ownership of the assigned area and train other personnel. + Confirm packing list accuracy and proper storage of materials. + Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end inventory audits. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to read and interpret production schedules. + Experience in tracking and managing materials to reduce downtime. + Skill in organizing warehouse space and conducting quality audits. **Why Work Here?** This role offers a first shift schedule from 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday, allowing for a balanced work-life routine. You will have the opportunity to grow within the company, even with minimal prior warehouse experience. Once you are trained and cross-trained, typically within 1-3 weeks, you will be eligible for a production incentive. **Work Environment** The work environment is non-climate controlled, which means it can be hot in the summer and cold during the winter months. While the noise level is generally quiet, it can become moderate or loud depending on specific department activities and tool usage. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
