Materials Handler

Eaton’s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Materials Handler. 

The hours for this role are 7:00am-3:30pm

The hourly rate for this position is $22.00 per hour.

What you’ll do:

Summary:  The Material Handler distributes material, products, and jobs between facilities while ensuring integrity with deliveries.  Able to respond promptly to questions regarding location of drop-off and follow through when cells require quick turnover.


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Supervisory Responsibilities
•    Sorting and moving product for delivery on carts at both facilities, while loading and unloading carts onto a loading ramp on a van.
•    Able to withstand long periods of time on feet while walking and delivering product to cells, frequently bending to move product to cells and loading of carts. 
•    Have good organizational skills, attention to detail, and be able to take ownership of work performed.
•    Maintain a high attention to detail regarding orders and be able to quickly decipher where product needs to be delivered.
•    Able to clearly communicate to others regarding order updates in both written and spoken forms.
•    Able to lift items in a safe manner while utilizing appropriate equipment or with assistance, occasionally needing to lift upwards of 50+ lbs.
•    Able to be proactive and contribute to problem solving activities. 
•    Intentionally communicate potential areas of improvement, ergonomic needs, and/or equipment needs with supervisor.
•    Maintain a positive attitude and work in a proactive way when work is slower that allows for efficient use of time during busier times.
 

Qualifications:

Required
•    High School Diploma or GED equivalent
•    Valid NYS driver’s license
•    Proficient utilizing Microsoft Exchange email
•    Ability to communicate clearly at all levels within the organization.
•    Able to work with a high level of detail while alone or in a small team.
•    Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.


Preferred
•    Valid NYS driver’s license
•    Proficient utilizing Microsoft Exchange email
•    Working knowledge of Oracle OS.
•    Able to work proficiently under pressure.
•    Available for overtime as requested.

•    Ability to communicate clearly at all levels within the organization.
•    Able to work with a high level of detail while alone or in a small team.
•    Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
