Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities:Conduct in-depth materials research to support product design, process improvements, and cost optimization.Evaluate and qualify suppliers through rigorous assessments and audits.Lead PPAP submissions and validations, ensuring all documentation and sample parts meet customer and industry requirements.Collaborate with design, procurement, and manufacturing teams to align material and supplier choices with business goals.Analyze material failures and recommend corrective actions or alternative materials.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and material technologies relevant to the sector.Generate technical reports, risk assessments, and supplier performance evaluations.Support continuous improvement initiatives in the supply chain and product quality.
Work Experience
Required Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.6+ years of relevant work experienceMandatory experience in a relevant industry (e.g., automotive, aerospace, heavy machinery, etc.).Strong expertise in PPAP process, including documentation, sample validation, and regulatory compliance.Proven ability to perform supplier quality audits and material testing.Good knowledge of ISO/TS 16949 or IATF 16949 standards (if automotive).Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
