Materials Controller (f/m/d) - Rotating Shifts

The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for a motivated Materials Controller (f/m/d) to join the team in Limerick! In this role, you are responsible for receiving and storing laboratory consumables and making sure our customer laboratories are well-stocked!

Working shifts:

1st week: work Monday - Tuesday, off Wednesday to Thursday, back on Friday, Saturday, Sunday 2nd week: off Monday - Tuesday, work Wednesday to Thursday, off Friday, Saturday, Sunday

The team   

Together with your nine colleagues, you are part of a supportive, small team, belonging to our department Lab and Production Services, which supports big pharmaceutical companies and laboratories all over the world, in Research and Development within the Life Sciences industry. 

  

What we’re looking for  

Education: Completed Leaving Certification with a curiosity for science

Experience: Experience in material handling and/or inventory replenishment, warehousing or customer service

Preferred qualifications:

Stores/Warehouse and stock management experience is an advantageProven excellent customer service focus and ability to work collaboratively with your teamExcellent attention to detail and corresponding outstanding communication skillsGxP know-how would be appreciatedMS Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT)

How you will thrive and create an impact  

Ensure that stock is prepared and maintained for detailed storing, perform daily stock cycle counts, and keep accurate records on inventory and check for any discrepanciesOrder consumable replenishment items online and deliver goods to customer locations. Continuously monitor inventory consumption levels and flag reports on a weekly basisReceive inbound deliveries and account for all defective or damaged products and follow up with appropriate corrective action; move and store stock by hand or machinesGlass & cabinet washing; glass, solvents & samples disposal as per expiry date Recycling of all packaging materials as per customer and Avantor policiesIdentifying opportunities for improved services and implementing them Act as a point of contact for audits relating to inventory programs
