About the Role
Are you organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about keeping operations running smoothly? We’re looking for a Materials Associate to join our dynamic team and support freight scheduling, inventory tracking, receiving, and related logistics activities. This is a great opportunity to play a vital behind-the-scenes role in our fast-paced distribution environment.
What You’ll Do
You’ll provide key administrative and clerical support to our distribution team, helping ensure accuracy, efficiency, and excellent coordination across logistics functions. Your responsibilities will include:
Freight Scheduling & Traffic Coordination
Schedule inbound/outbound freight shipments
Verify freight rates and assist with freight payments
Inventory & Receiving Support
Enter and verify receiving transactions
Assist with physical inventory and audits
Maintain accurate documentation and data records
Shipping Documentation
Prepare Bills of Lading and export paperwork
Ensure compliance with shipping standards
Clerical & Administrative Tasks
Maintain ISO 9001 documentation
Support distribution training and employee activities
Accurately input and manage data in internal systems (MRP, barcode, mainframe)
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience
Associate’s degree or equivalent (preferred)
2+ years of related experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain
OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
Technical Skills
Comfortable with data entry, Microsoft Office, MRP systems, and barcode technology
Familiar with warehouse, inventory, shipping, and receiving processes
Soft Skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication
Able to problem-solve and adapt in a fast-moving environment

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Hybrid of office and manufacturing floor environment
