Caterpillar currently has an opening for a Warehouse Monitor position supporting Reman Drivetrain located in the West Fargo, ND facility. The Warehouse Monitor is responsible for monitoring all systems transactions made by both the data collection system and directly from terminals to assure accuracy and for making timely corrections as required.

Job Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

Promote positive communication between department and customer baseSupport the values, vision, mission, goals and strategies of the companyEnsure excellence in customer servicePerform 5S auditsPerform Safety Stop Audit observations as requiredParticipate in the CI/PID ProcessAny duties or tasks that may be assigned to promote cross training or support for various areas of the shopFollow the Caterpillar Production System (CPS) Standard Work SheetsPerform other duties as requiredPromote a culture based on our Values in ActionFollow established facility safety policies, safe job procedures and hazardous risk assessments and using the proper Personal Protective equipment for the specific job being performedWork with variety of employees throughout the day to effectively communicate needs and to perform job related tasks Proven ability to work in a team settingServe as a positive role model and contribute to team effort by supporting all employees in our organizationEnsure customer requirements are metConduct business with the highest level of honesty and integrityAbility to Interface with plant management, supervisors and production personnel

Process-Related Tasks and Responsibilities

Review all released production orders for material availability and if the order is complete, distribute the orders for pulling.Monitor open / incomplete Transfer Orders and resolve all issues associated with their completion Monitor open Transfer Requests and resolve all issues associated with there completionMonitor and resolve system generated IDOC errors for all plantsQuantify and track errors* being made and document error, immediate fix, and long term resolution so the problem does not reoccur.* (example material transactions relative to storage type & qty, BOM discrepancies, & Pull errors)Assist with procedure refinement, documentation and trainingMonitor and maintain all storage typesIdentify inconsistent material reservations for production orders and work with Production Planner and Engineering to resolve the problem.Perform controlled cycle counts by storage location and or physical location to insure accuracy of that area. As errors are discovered, inform Cycle Counters so corrections can be made.Train personnel on acceptable inventory practices and how to identify root cause of problems.Ensure communication between warehouse / materials management as well as Production planning, Purchasing, and Engineering to ensure problem resolution.Seek out root cause to problems and document problem resolution steps.Monitor and Graph department results on a weekly for;Time to put away material (24 hour target), new receipts & remanTime to complete pulls and issue material to production (24 hour target).Accuracy of pulls by production order & Material HandlerMaterial transactions errors by type by user.Cycle Count AccuracyEnsure communication between warehouse and materials management

Basic Qualifications

Minimum 2 years' experience using SAP preferred

Compensation & Benefits Offered!

Hourly Pay Range: $22.21 - $28.26 (pay negotiations based upon skills/experience)Work Hours: 6AM - 4:30PM; Mon- Thurs with occasional overtime on Fridays$2,000 sign on bonus. Incumbent will receive first pay out after 90 days of employment and second payout after 180 days of employment.*The payout of sign on bonus will be based on acceptable performance and attendance*40-hour work weeks with potential for overtime80 hours of vacation with an additional 24 hours of paid Personal Time Off (PTO)10 Paid holidays100% 401k match up to 6% offered on day 1 of employmentHealth, dental, vision, & life insurance offered on day 1 of employmentPotential annual performance increaseClean/safe work environmentPaid holiday shut down at the end of the year (dependent upon business needs)

Summary Pay Range:

$22.21 - $28.26
