Material Planning Specialist
Job Description SummaryThe role of material planner in China will support the whole supply chain of Tianjin Magnet business, from raw material to finish goods and will support 2 repair centers material planning.

Job Description

This position requires extensive interaction with other departments such as engineering, purchasing, logistics, quality assurance, and operations management. The individual must have strong organizational skills and excellent communication abilities. They should also possess problem solving ability and initiative. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
• Work closely with Engineering department on new product introduction and existing products change control.
• Responsible for providing accurate delivery dates to internal customers based on inventory levels and production schedules.
• Manage relationships with suppliers regarding inventory levels, lead times, pricing, and quality issues.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance department to ensure all incoming raw materials meet specifications.
• Coordinate with Operations Management team to plan production runs efficiently and effectively.
• Monitor inventory levels throughout the supply chain to minimize stockouts or overstocking situations.
• Review reports regularly to identify trends in material usage patterns and make adjustments accordingly.
• Provide feedback to cross functional teams regarding potential areas of improvement related to material planning processes.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing costs and improving efficiency.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent field preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills essential.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PBI).
• Knowledge of ERP systems helpful but not mandatory.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
• Detail oriented mindset with attention to accuracy and precision.
