About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Material Planner and Scheduler to join our team at the Sunshine manufacturing site. This is a full-time, onsite role, with working hours from Monday to Friday. As a Material Planner and Scheduler, you will manage all assigned materials activities related to production planning. This role requires a high level of understanding of trade-offs between service, inventory, and costs for all business units.

Key Responsibilities: Manage and review requirement plans for inbound materials (raw and packaging), monitor and optimise inventory levels, and ensure materials are available for the agreed supply plan. Coordinate with production teams to ensure materials are available when needed. Decide which products need to be manufactured within weekly and monthly production plans to ensure safety stock levels are maintained. Regularly check MRP system outputs to ensure minimum order quantities (MOQs) and inventory targets are met. Lead daily meetings to review production progress, ensuring that weekly production targets (in volume) and sales demands are met. Address any exceptions or issues flagged by the MRP system. Collaborate with the Finished Goods Planning team to ensure materials are ready when needed. Coordinate with warehouse management to ensure materials are available without overstocking. Implement and refine purchasing processes to enhance efficiency. Use planning systems to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure purchase orders are accurate. Monitor and expedite purchase orders to ensure timely delivery. Based on MRP output, provide forecasts to suppliers to ensure they can meet future needs, including any lifecycle management decisions. Track out-of-stock items and expedite orders as needed. Focus on reducing working capital tied up in inventory while improving material availability. Assist the finance team when needed in resolving any invoice discrepancies. Regularly review and update material master data and safety stock levels. What You Will Bring: Demonstrated experience in supply chain, procurement, and inventory management. Proficiency in using MRP systems, SAP and Excel for data analysis. Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and draw meaningful insights. Effective at solving problems, collaborating with others, and working across different departments. Capable of handling stress, working independently, and maintaining a focus on quality and results.
