The Raw Material Planner is responsible to ensure timely supply of materials to the plant for uninterrupted production processing and servicing customers at a best in class level under single plant and/or low complexity.

Responsibilities/Description:

Plan both short- and long-term to align supply and demand to support inventory needsFacilitate collaboration meetings with stakeholders and vendors to review purchase forecasts, proposed orders, and other operational issuesMonitor movement of materials through purchasing, storage, production, and retail distributionSet preferred stock levels and prevent excess inventorySolve problems of raw material shortages;Liaise with the local material coordinators/ site supply chain managers to ensure a smooth and aligned day-to-day planning process;Optimization and continuous improvement of material availability; global inventory days; inventory write-off; and obsolete/slow moving inventory.Design and create new tools to help improve the planning functions of supply chainManage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance to terms of contracts


Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related fields.3-5 years experience in operational planning or a similar roleKnowledge of MS Office tools (specially Excel)Excellent business English communication skillsAnalytical and quantitative skillsAbility to handle high-pressure situationsContinuous improvement attitude


Training / Certifications:

SAP, APO, MRP training on functional areas of expertiseAPICS Module I (Basics of Supply Chain Management) training
