Material Master Data Domain Lead 

 

Position Overview:

 

As a key player in the NA Product Supply team, you develop a comprehensive knowledge base of global and regional master data processes, systems, and tools. You play a pivotal role in supporting cross-functional operations, leading system improvement efforts across functions with business and IT team members. Your contributions deliver enhancements to existing IT systems and provide critical feedback on new IT developments. You lead continuous improvements in the cross-functional end-to-end operational master data process, collaborating with customer service, transportation, planning, purchasing, and controlling business team members to identify areas of opportunity, improve operational data models, and recommend solutions to complex challenges. Your collaboration with local and global stakeholders is crucial in developing new master data models and operational processes in response to evolving business requirements or unique go-to-market strategies. You develop and leverage key relationships with regional and global material master data partners, ensuring regional business activities are properly supported by global and international material creation processes. Additionally, you provide feedback to the NA Master Data Unit Lead on strategic initiatives, leveraging deep technical knowledge to guide future material master data strategy. Your collaboration with the Data Strategy Team and Digital Target State Team ensures that the Domain Master Data Strategy supports the overall application and reporting landscape. You drive business execution of investments needed to achieve operational success in collaboration with global and local IT organizations and play the role of business project manager and/or business data solution lead on Master Data Domain-specific projects.

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Develop a knowledge base of global and regional master data processes, systems, and tools;Lead system improvement efforts across functions with business and IT team members;Deliver improvements to existing IT systems and provide feedback on new IT developments;Lead continuous improvements in the cross-functional end-to-end operational master data process;Collaborate with stakeholders to develop new master data models and operational processes;Develop and leverage relationships with regional and global material master data partners;Provide strategic feedback to the NA Master Data Unit Lead;Collaborate with Data Strategy Team and Digital Target State Team;Drive business execution of investments in collaboration with IT organizations;Play the role of business project manager and/or business data solution lead.

 

WHO YOU ARE:

 

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

 

Bachelor’s Degree;10 years of experience, with 3-5+ years in data governance, data management, or working with material or supply chain data;Strong SAP and database system knowledge;Ability to understand complex data processes and communicate them to broad audiences;Excellent collaboration skills to work across diverse stakeholder groups;Ability to influence all levels of the organization.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

3+ years of project and change management experience preferred;

 

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $114,575.20 - $171,862.80 Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant).  Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..  This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
