Your Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing logistics strategies, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management. Your expertise in logistics engineering will enable you to develop solutions that improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance customer service. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, such as vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, to ensure seamless integration of logistics operations.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Evaluating existing supply chain operations, identifying bottlenecks, and designing improved processes to streamline the movement of goods.Modeling and analyzing transportation networks to determine the most efficient routes, modes of transport, and distribution centers.Implementing strategies to optimize inventory levels, reducing costs and preventing stockouts or overstocking.Identifying cost-saving opportunities throughout the supply chain, such as negotiating better freight rates, optimizing warehouse space, and reducing transportation distances.Implementing and utilizing logistics software and systems to enhance visibility, track shipments, and improve decision-making.Identifying potential disruptions and developing contingency plans to minimize their impact on the supply chain.Developing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics operations.Working closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, manufacturing, sales, and customer service, to ensure alignment and achieve supply chain objectives.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or other Engineering or Supply Chain discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in data analysis and modeling tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python).Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.Knowledge of logistics software and systems.Experience with Project Management.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
