Material Handling Laborer
We are seeking skilled and trained General Laborers and Installers with valid driver’s licenses, to support warehouse and logistics operations. The team will provide essential labor services, including property movement, inventory management, shipment handling, and furniture installation/disassembly across multiple facilities. Candidates must demonstrate a responsible and professional work ethic, attention to detail, and the physical ability to perform manual labor tasks. **Responsibilities** + Installation knowledge of Knoll Morrison, Steelcase Context modular workstations on a raised floor, Jofco, Knoll and Haworth conference room furniture, Herman Miller modular furniture, Task Seating and other systems furniture. + Perform physical moves of furniture, supplies, and assets to/from the warehouse and between buildings. + Disassemble and reassemble furniture according to manufacturer specifications to avoid damage. + Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy. + Maintain detailed shipping/receiving logs, including carrier driver logs and delivery tickets. + Prepare and package items for shipment, including shrink-wrapping and labeling. + Coordinate with customers upon shipment arrival and schedule delivery; obtain signatures when required. + Conduct inventories of equipment, supplies, and property. + Document and report any missing or lost freight, including items that have been signed for. + Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and shrink wrap machines. + Maintain forklift certification and adhere to all safety protocols. + Perform occasional weekend or after-hours work as needed. + Ability to operate a 26-foot box truck. **Qualifications** + Proven track record of reliability, responsibility, and professionalism in a labor-intensive role. + Ability to safely move and transport office equipment and furniture within buildings. + Proficiency in assembling/disassembling furniture in accordance with manufacturer standards. + Valid license and experience operating a 26-foot commercial truck + Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and shrink-wrap machines. + Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust / CBP clearance. **Desired Skills:** + Prior experience in warehouse operations or asset management. + Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. + Basic recordkeeping and inventory management knowledge. **Job ID** 2025-18196 **Work Type** On-Site **Pay Range** $24 per hour - $26 per hour **Health & Welfare** 5.55 **Benefits** SCA - The company offers a comprehensive benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) and a range of other voluntary benefits.
