Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Material Handler / Lab Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring safe and quality operations while contributing to the smooth running of Materials Operations. This position requires close interaction with supervisors and Materials Specialists to achieve operational goals.
ResponsibilitiesEnsure internal and external compliance with GMP, GLP, DOT, HazMat, and health and safety guidelines.Effectively execute supervisors' directives and prioritize area tasks and daily customer requests.Troubleshoot operational errors and monitor operations.Follow up on facility, process, and specialist needs.Interact with other departments to achieve goals.Act as a liaison between Materials Specialists and other departments.Ensure accurate completion of daily tasks, including acceptance of incoming materials, preparation of receiving documents, and processing of hazardous and radioactive materials.Apply asset tags to capital equipment and ensure proper handling, storage, and temperature requirements of materials.Provide internal distribution of GMP materials and apply proper placards for shipping.Independently follow and train others in GMP procedures and maintain accurate documentation.Follow safety procedures, use safety equipment, and participate in safety awareness and training.Provide routine updates to supervisors on progress and issues.Prioritize and distribute workload with minimal supervision.Participate in projects and deliver presentations to diverse audiences.Proactively seek ways to improve workflow processes and participate in change initiatives.Lead resolution efforts and be recognized as a resource for technical issue resolution.Actively engage in the development of departmental goals and feedback activities.Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas.Essential SkillsProficiency in GMP procedures and documentation.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with materials handling and documentation.Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.Valid driver's license.Work Environment
The position operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. The role requires working in a team-oriented environment with a focus on safety and compliance. Candidates should be prepared for physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 pounds.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.05 - $30.26/hr.
