Responsibilities Loads and unloads materials, equipment, and supplies from trucks, pallets, and containers. Moves freight, stock, and other materials manually or using hand trucks, pallet jacks, dollies, or other non-motorized equipment. Stacks and arranges items in storage areas, warehouses, or work sites following established procedures. Assists in counting, verifying, and recording incoming and outgoing shipments. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to inventory system or supervisor instructions. Maintains cleanliness and organization of work areas, ensuring clear aisles and safe storage practices. Assists in packaging and preparing items for shipment. Identifies damaged or defective items and reports discrepancies to supervisors. Follows all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Performs other related duties as assigned in support of warehouse and logistics operations. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.) High school diploma or GED preferred. Prior warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling experience desirable but not required. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs. regularly and standing/walking for extended periods. Knowledge of safe lifting practices and ability to operate basic material handling equipment. Basic reading, writing, and math skills sufficient to complete inventory logs, labels, and work orders. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Must be eligible to work under applicable government contract requirements (may require background check or clearance depending on contract). Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of Material Handling systems processes and procedures.. Ability to understand verbal instructions. Ability to operate pallet jacks and other related equipment. Ability to understand and follow safety procedures. Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies. Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects. Ability to understand, and follow safety procedures. Ability to work collaboratively. Ability to understand written and verbal communications.
