About the role:

The Yard Material Handler is responsible for safely loading, unloading, and moving materials within or near the yard, or work site. 

Additional Information: 

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 PM – 2:00 AMOvertime based on business needRelocation assistance is NOT available for this position. Starting pay is $19.85 an hour2nd Shift will receive a shift premium; $1.00/hr for the first 40 hours, $1.50/hr on overtime hours
 

What you will do:

At SPM Oil & Gas, our primary objective is to provide our customers with excellent engineering solutions through our products and superior customer service Unload, stock and inventory all deliveries Read and understand standard work and risk assessments Ability to understand Inventory Control Process Exhibits equipment and product understanding Counts, weighs, secures, tags, palettize and stacks materials and maintains accurate records of material movement Assist service operations with pulling and picking partsPerforms other job duties as assigned 
 

What you will have: 

Minimum of three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Prior experience operating a forkliftAbility to use identification tools (engraver, metal stamps, paint pen) to mark product 
 

Top Candidates will have:

Basic understanding of the oil and gas industry including ability to identify parts related to hydraulic fracking operationsBasic understanding of the warehouse distribution industryExperience operating a 30K lb. forklift
 

Physical Demands: 

Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hearRequired to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlMust occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focusMust be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department
 

Work Environment:

Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particlesFrequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditionsOccasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibrationNoise Level: Moderate

Summary Pay Range:

$19.85 - $26.55
