**Job Title: Material Handler Forklift**
**Job Description**
A material handler must have experience working with and driving industrial fork trucks, such as medium-sized, narrow aisle SwingMast, and heavy-duty industrial fork trucks. The material handler is responsible for monitoring, managing, lifting, loading, unloading, storing, and arranging various materials throughout their daily shift. This position is ideal for someone who loves to work hard and take initiative without needing constant direction.
**Responsibilities**
+ Safely and effectively operate an industrial fork truck with SwingMast and obtain certification.
+ Move effectively and efficiently on the industrial fork truck through a compact, high-volume facility with continual pedestrian traffic.
+ Receive, unload, verify, and correctly store all material entering the company.
+ Systematically track all material using a scanner and desktop computer with a high level of accuracy.
+ Properly identify materials and locations to maintain efficient, organized, and safe storage.
+ Supply the production department with material and services in an efficient and timely manner.
+ Report all material scrap, equipment, or property damage when operating material handling equipment.
+ Perform general housekeeping of the facility and upkeep of assigned industrial truck.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with forklift and material handling.
+ Proficiency in using RF scanners and performing inventory tasks.
+ Ability to perform loading and sit-down tasks.
+ 1 year or more of active industrial truck operation in a high-paced environment.
+ 1 year or more of inventory management experience.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ SwingMast operation experience preferred.
+ Capability to perform light office duties, including the use of computers, scanners, and tablets.

**Work Environment**
The work environment involves standing throughout the entire shift, with periodic short-distance walking. Lifting and carrying materials up to forty-five pounds is required, with team assistance for heavier items. Pushing and pulling carts with appropriate safety techniques is common, and light office duties such as using computers, scanners, and tablets are part of the role.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Permanent position based out of Lawrence, Kansas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $38896.00 - $42016.00/yr.
Benefits include Medical/Dental/Vision, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays from day one, tuition reimbursement, and a 401k plan (with an automatic 3% company contribution, regardless of your contribution after your first year of employment) among others.
**Workplace Type**
This is a fully onsite position in Lawrence,KS.
