Job Description:

Location: Portland, Maine

CoWorx is currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team in Portland, ME.

This role involves a variety of warehouse activities including loading, order fulfillment, cycle counting, put-away, and general material handling tasks.

The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations and be comfortable working in cooler and freezer environments.

Schedule: Monday – Friday

Shift: 1st Shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Responsibilities:

Perform all standard warehouse duties: loading, unloading, order fulfillment, and inventory cycle counts
Put away products and assist with general warehouse organization
Ensure product integrity by checking for damage, infestation, and verifying product identifiers (part numbers, batch numbers, etc.)
Accurately report any shortages, overages, or damages using the appropriate forms
Apply correct labels to products as required
Safely and efficiently stack and store products to avoid damage
Assist in physical inventory counts
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company housekeeping standards
Adhere to all company Good Distribution Practices (GDPs)
Responsible for supporting and maintaining Food Safety standards

Desired Background/Skills:

1+ year of experience operating a forklift
Previous experience in a freezer and/or cooler environment is highly desirable
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
