**Job Title: Material Handler**
**Job Description**
As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the production process by moving carts and pallet jacks throughout the production floor. You will be responsible for transporting products to and from assembly lines, conducting inventory transactions using a handheld scanner, and collaborating closely with department leads to ensure smooth operations in both the paint and assembly departments. Additional tasks include supporting other material handlers in the assembly department, working on the assembly line, and assisting the paint unload team with organizing units.
**Responsibilities**
+ Move carts and pallet jacks throughout the production floor.
+ Transport products to and from assembly lines.
+ Conduct inventory transactions using a handheld scanner.
+ Collaborate closely with leads in the paint and assembly departments.
+ Assist other material handlers in the assembly department.
+ Work on the assembly line.
+ Help the paint unload team with organizing units.
**Essential Skills**
+ Material handling experience.
+ Inventory management skills.
+ Experience using RF scanning devices.
+ Effective communication in English.
+ Basic arithmetic skills (counting, adding, subtracting).
+ Strong organizational skills.
+ Attention to detail.
+ Time management abilities.
+ Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Previous experience in inventory, material handling, or part picking is preferred.
+ Capability to lift/carry up to 10 lbs constantly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
+ Ability to push/pull up to 100 lbs occasionally.
+ Physical stamina for tasks that involve walking and standing for full 8-12 hour shifts.
+ Manual dexterity to frequently use hands and fingers for picking parts and gripping objects, tools, and scanners.
+ Flexibility to occasionally crouch, kneel, bend, stoop, and reach forward and overhead.
+ Capability to operate powered equipment.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is in a manufacturing facility that is not air-conditioned, which can get hot during the summer months. However, the paint department is air-conditioned when retrieving or delivering painting parts. Be prepared to spend a significant amount of time in warmer areas, particularly in the fabrication area where the paint line/track is located.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anoka, Minnesota.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.70 - $22.70/hr.
