Start the next chapter of your career with Crane Aerospace & Electronics! **Job Summary:** The Material Handler I is responsible for receiving, moving, storing, counting, tracking, issuing, and shipping a variety of production parts, materials and supplies. The production floor relies on this position to provide the right parts and materials at the right time in order to meet on-time-delivery goals. **Essential Functions:** + Maintain accurate inventory control by following established work instructions and processes. + Move materials to and from receiving, production areas and shipping by hand, using sorting bins and carts, or other equipment + Unpack, receive, and stock materials into storeroom location(s) + Read work orders to determine material and equipment needs for production cell work + Issue critical materials to production cells + Complete the cycle count process for Value Stream; Escalate variances in counts, as needed + Respond to unplanned issues with internal customers in a timely manner + Pack and ship materials in accordance with contract requirements + Aid and/or Backfill coworkers, as needed to complete daily tasks + Ensure compliance with export compliance rules + Any other task assigned by supervisor or management **Minimum Qualifications:** + **Experience:** 0-2 years of relevant manufacturing experience + **Knowledge** : Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods; Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction + **Skills/Abilities:** Demonstrated outstanding manual dexterity; Demonstrated ability to concentrate on repetitive tasks; Demonstrated ability to accurately follow detailed work instructions; Demonstrated ability to understand standard work instructions; Math skills to perform basic calculations; Outstanding verbal communication skills; Proficient with MS Office. Willingness to work extended hours and Saturdays in order to meet customer's needs. + **Education/Certification:** High School diploma or equivalent + **Eligibility Requirement:** This position requires access to controlled data or information and therefore only US persons will be considered.
