What You'll Do:
As a Material Handler you will directly receives incoming material; stocks material; pulls items from home location to fill inter-company transfers; packages material and prepares for customer shipments; conducts inventory.
What We're Looking For:
Follow proper procedures to pull items using labels and picking documents for internal and external orders Proper picking to/from bins, weighing, packaging and labeling to move items from stock location to the requested area of the site Accurately process verified inventory batches in computer system. Understand and comply with procedures for stocking new items Verify picked orders from printed packing slips Properly completes any paperwork associated with the work activity Assist with conducting inventory as directed using proper procedures. Safely uses all equipment including but not limited to power industrial trucks, pallet jacks, carts, conveyors, doors, gates, etc. Follow all proscribed federal, state, local and company safety regulations and requirements Provide accurate and timely communications to co-workers Promote an environment in which everyone is treated with respect Participate on committees dealing with investigations, policy and procedure development, and improving the workplace environment. Participate in the training and skill development of other material handlers. Engage in developmental dialog with supervisor and others to continually enhance personal and group performance and development
Skills That Make a Difference:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
