. **Material Handler – Temporary (3 Months)** **Location:** Elizabethtown, NC Adecco is currently assisting a client in Elizabethtown, NC in their search to fill a **Temporary Material Handler** role (3 months). This role, also known as a **Water Spider** , is essential for supporting production by ensuring that materials and supplies are consistently and efficiently delivered to the appropriate workstations. **Position Summary:** As a Water Spider, you will play a key role in maintaining the flow of materials on the production floor. You will be responsible for coordinating and transporting components, monitoring inventory, and supporting the production team to minimize downtime and enhance productivity. **Key Responsibilities:** + **Material Coordination:** Move Kanban cards per Fortive Material System (FMS) standards and ensure accurate placement. + **Material Transport:** Deliver and retrieve materials, supplies, and components to and from the production line. + **Inventory Monitoring:** Track supply levels and report shortages to the buyers. + **Safety:** Follow proper safety procedures and use appropriate material handling equipment. + **Continuous Improvement:** Suggest and support process improvements to reduce waste and improve efficiency. + **Production Support:** Assist with tasks such as cycle counts when needed. **Qualifications:** + High school diploma or equivalent required + 2–5 years of experience in a pacer, water spider, floater, or similar role; or equivalent education and experience + Basic computer skills required + Strong organizational and communication skills **Physical Requirements:** + Ability to lift up to **50 lbs** (occasionally more with proper equipment) + Able to stand and move for up to 8 hours or more per shift This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced production environment while gaining valuable experience.
