Material Handler | $18/hr. and up depending on expereince

Hours: 1st Shift 6:30am-5:00pm Monday-Thursday OT on Fridays as needed

Aventure Staffing is hiring a Material Handler in Laurens, IA focused on hydraulic cylinders  to join their team. The Material HAndler will run a Forklift/CombiLift and is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the facility, including loading and unloading deliveries, transporting raw materials, and supplying production machines with necessary components.

Responsibilities:

Operates forklifts and CombiLift to move products and materials throughout the facility Unloads incoming Material Stacks and stores materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and labeling Transports raw materials to production workstations and removes finished goods to storage or staging areas. Performs routine equipment checks and basic maintenance to ensure operational safety Identifies and reports any product damages, shortages, or quality issues. Maintains accurate inventory records and documentation as required Complies with all safety protocols, company policies, and OSHA regulations Assists with maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse or work area Participates in ongoing safety and operational training as required.

Requirements:

High School Diploma, GED or previous experience in manufacturing environment preferred Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, blueprints, correspondence and memos in English Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Basic skills required as needed to utilize tape measures Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
