EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent GED.  Minimum six months experience. This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

LANGUAGE SKILLS 

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS 

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY 

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Ability to operate a saw, forklift, cranes, powered industrial equipment.

The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, or crouch, and climb onto equipment. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

PAY

$18 - $21/ hour. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

SUMMARY

Responsible for moving and placing parts and materials ready for processing and storage.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This is not intended as a comprehensive list; it is intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities. Removes and weighting chips. Loads and unloads trucks. Set up parts in designated areas to prepare for processing. Identifies and ensures that the correct parts are placed in the designated order  Assists machine operators with general duties as requested to support the smooth operation of the machines Reports any problems observed to supervisor whether they are related to storage and placing of parts or machine malfunctions, etc. Produces daily production reports as directed by supervisor  Must have understanding and knowledge of company procedures and work instructions. Maintains a safe and organized workstation and follows all company policy, safety and procedures.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
