Start your new career as a Material Handler with MAU at Columbia Vehicle Group in Aiken, SC. As a Material Handler, you will support warehouse and plant operations by safely transporting, storing, and organizing raw and finished materials using powered industrial vehicles and related equipment. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity.
What We Offer: Pay of $18.00 per hour First Shift | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Voluntary overtime available Temp-to-hire opportunity PPE provided Health benefits Referral program Opportunity for advancement What We’re Looking For: High school diploma or GED At least 1 year of material handling experience Previous experience with powered industrial vehicles (PIV) Valid forklift certification Ability to lift 26–50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally Strong communication and organizational skills Comfortable using basic computer systems for inventory tracking What You’ll Do as a Material Handler: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, and carts to transport materials Open containers and relocate materials within the plant, yard, and storage areas Follow written and verbal instructions to locate and move materials Use computer systems to look up part locations, track inventory, and reference production data Maintain accurate inventory through routine cycle counts Label and tag materials correctly Ensure aisles and storage areas remain clean and clear Collaborate effectively with coworkers across departments Meet physical demands including lifting and moving heavy materials
