Overview\n

The Material Handler is responsible for performing all functions necessary for transporting and maintaining materials, supplies, and finished products at the location. This position reports directly to the Plant Foreman. \n

Key Responsibilities and Duties\n\nAssist in managing the day-to-day operations of the plant. \nReceives, distributes, and stores products as directed in designated, secure locations.\nPrepares and maintains records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information.\nReviews shipments for quality and accuracy; reviews accompanying documents for accuracy.\nTracks all movement of materials and products in Linus. \nTransports and loads materials, supplies, and finished goods (manually and\/or using hand trucks and skids).\nClean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.\nPerform inventory counts and security checks on materials and products. \nOther duties as assigned.\n\n

Education and Experience \n\n21+ years of age\nHigh School Diploma or G.E.D\n2+ years of experience preferred.\nForklift experience preferred. \n\n

Skills, Knowledge, and Requirements\n\nHazard Recognition - Identify potential safety issues and make recommendations for action or resolution. \nAbility to wear and perform work in required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) \nPossess basic math & writing skills.\nPossess organizational skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to effectively communicate with various departments and team members.\nAbility to work at heights, climb ladders and stairs, lift and carry up to 60Ibs, and operate valves. \nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Linus, or related software. \n\n

Work Environment \n

This position will be exposed to all elements of the weather on the plant site. \n

This is a safety sensitive position which requires employees to disclose the use of any prescription medication that may affect his or her ability to safely perform the essential functions of this position.\n
