Summary: The Material Handler will drive an electrically powered industrial truck (PIT) equipped with lifting devices. These lifting devices include forklift, boom, scoop, lift beam, swivel hook, fork grapple clamps, and elevating platform. These lifting devices are used to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials as part of the daily requirements of the Material Handler. This position will be required to manage inventory according to the standard operating procedure and by utilizing handheld scanner. This position will be required to maintain a distinguished knowledge of SAP and EIM.
Safety:
The Material Handler must do daily safety inspections of the truck before operating the PIT.
The Material Handler will follow all Tyson safety polices including, but not limited to Lock-Out Tag-Out.
Set-Up:
The Material Handler will assist in the daily set-up of additional workstations deemed necessary by Tyson Foods Leadership.
The Material Handler will stage the product for further processing. This product may be staged by unloading trucks or moving products from the thaw room to curing injection lines.
Additional tasks may be assigned to the Team Member by Tyson Foods leadership when necessary.
Operation:
The Material Handler will be required to move products safely throughout the facility with a PIT.
The Material Handler will be required to weigh materials and products. Additionally, the team member will be required to label, and record, the product using SOPs established by Tyson Foods leadership.
Additional tasks may be assigned to the Team Member by Tyson Foods leadership when necessary.
Sanitation:
The Material Handler will be required to follow all USDA Regulations, Tyson Foods safety policies, and GMPs.
The Material Handler must maintain a clean work environment.
Quality:
The Material Handler must safely maneuver product through the facility, while ensuring internal customers receive the appropriate product and adequate documentation is recorded.
The Material Handler must ensure the utmost safety of our product, in lieu of Tyson Food Safety Policy, while transporting product throughout the facility.
Qualification: The Team Member must be able to perform all tasks associated with this position and hours that are required. The Team Member must demonstrate the knowledge, skill, and ability required to perform this job without assistance beyond normal staffing needs. Lastly, this position requires team members to be able to read and write independently.
Requirements: 6 months of work experince with one employer in the last 24 months.
