Material Flow Engineer - Critical Parts Warehousing
As part of our External Warehousing team, you’ll manage our external warehouses where we are constantly developing new processes to further increase our efficiency. With our incredible plans for the future of mobility, we have a wide variety of opportunities for you to accelerate your career and help us define tomorrow’s transportation. **What you’ll do…** You will: + Assist the External Warehouse team with opportunities and actions to help drive cost efficiencies to meet our annual cost targets + Support warehousing launch activities, tied to new model launches, capacity actions, supplier resourcings, stockpiles, etc. + Support studies for Ford-managed stockpiles, where warehousing is required to support struggling suppliers and/or supplier resourcing actions + Benchmarking of other automotive and non-automotive warehousing operations to help identify processes and solutions which can be applied to Ford external warehousing operations + Assist with struggling warehouse providers in Mexico and the US as needed. + Investigate and execute sequencing and repacking operations which result in Enterprise cost savings + Develop executive summaries and presentations to clearly and effectively communicate issues, interim containment actions and permanent containment actions + Lead Modernization Projects, where you will document and obtain cross-functional alignment of warehousing strategies and standards + Create purchase orders and maintain them on Ariba, including tracking of invoices + Be able to operate in high stress situations **You'll have...** + Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Supply Chain or similar + Min of 2 years’ experience in logistics, warehousing and/or manufacturing + Experience with Project Management in Supply Chain or MFG-related fields + Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time and support launch activities at our North American Warehouses (Mexico, Canada, USA) + Microsoft Office experience to include Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint + Experience with data analytics, comfortable with managing and cross-referencing data from multiple sources **Requisition ID** : 47534
