Job Description
The Material Coordinator will manage materials in SAP. They will also build tool kits, ensuring timely delivery to job sites. This role involves significant planning, scheduling, and coordination, particularly during turnarounds and outages. The Material Coordinator will handle vendor issues, return damaged materials, build cost reports, and track materials. Fieldwork in a refinery-type atmosphere is a key component of this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Management: Manage materials in SAP, deliver materials to job sites, and return unused materials to the stock house.
Planning and Scheduling: Heavily involved in planning, scheduling, and coordinating turnarounds and outages.
Vendor Coordination: Resolve vendor issues promptly, identifying and addressing any hiccups.
Material Handling: Return damaged materials and ensure proper handling, including wrapping in plastic and shrink wrap.
Reporting: Build cost reports and track materials.
Field Work: Perform day-to-day maintenance and fieldwork, coordinating transportation (truck/crane) as needed.

Skills and Requirements
Familiarity with SAP
Experience in planning and scheduling, particularly in turnarounds and outages.
Strong problem-solving skills, especially in vendor coordination.
Ability to handle and return damaged materials.
Experience in building cost reports and tracking materials.
Comfortable with fieldwork in a refinery-type atmosphere.
Ability to coordinate transportation and ensure proper material handling.
Comfortable working in a refinery-type atmosphere.
Flexibility to work beyond regular hours if conditions change. null
