Material Coordinator - 2nd Shift
Job Description

The Material Coordinator is responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials and products. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth logistics operations, including handling inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting production supply activities. The technician ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards, including handling hazardous materials as required.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive incoming materials and products, verify accuracy against documentation, and inspect for discrepancies such as damage or missing parts. Document and report issues appropriately.

Facilitate the movement of products and materials involving external logistics providers, ensuring timely and accurate handoffs.

Support outbound logistics by packaging items per specifications, labeling accurately, and verifying all shipping details against bills of lading, invoices, and orders. Handle pre-transport preparation of hazardous materials and waste when applicable.

Stage and transfer materials from warehouse to manufacturing areas based on the production schedule. Ensure smooth flow of materials through warehouse and production zones.

Maintain real-time inventory accuracy by recording all material movements in SAP. Participate in periodic inventory counts and assist in resolving discrepancies.

Maintain organized, clean, and safe workspaces. Replenish supplies and support general warehouse tasks as needed.

Shift Schedule: 2nd Shift – 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM

Qualifications

HS Diploma may require some higher education or specialized training/ certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Haz-Waste Handling / DOT/ IATA Certification is required.

Knowledge of and skill in using computer software, including SAP, Microsoft products and the Internet.

Knowledge of International Logistics, basic Accounting Principles, and basic Algebra and the ability to apply these to daily routine functions.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business literature, technical processes, and regulations.  Ability to effectively present information in a group setting and respond to inquiries of managers, co-workers, clients, and customers.

Knowledge of general purchasing requirements; understanding material requirements needed for the overall operation of the business.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Knowledge of good manufacturing practices (GMP) manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvements, and efficiency.

Knowledge of OSHA and local safety guidelines.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and establish short and long-term planning horizons to complete these duties.

Ability to work effectively as a team to accomplish deadlines and objectives yet make independent decisions on various tasks.

Knowledge of cGMP guidelines as well as international regulations pertaining to the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and drug products.

Ability to manage or prepare shipping / movements of products, and prepares outgoing materials, products and / or supplies for shipment by packaging according to requirements.

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $24.54 - $38.34/hr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
