Resideo is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Material Buyer to join our sourcing team on a 2-year fixed term contract. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring timely procurement of materials and components essential to maintaining production flow in our Nagykanizsa manufacturing site.

Working closely with our global network of suppliers and logistics partners, you will manage a designated section of the plant’s material requirements. You’ll play a key role in responding quickly to forecast changes, collaborating with the production planning team to maintain optimal inventory levels and avoid production delays.

We welcome applications from both recent graduates and individuals with prior buying or procurement experience. While experience with SAP is advantageous, it is not a requirement. Strong Microsoft Office skills, adaptability, and the ability to learn new systems in a fast-paced environment are essential.

 

JOB DUTIES:

Procure components required for production in a timely and efficient manner Manage the open purchase order book in the ERP system (including tracking late/unconfirmed POs, and adjusting orders based on updated needs) Maintain daily communication with suppliers, planners, production teams, warehouse, and quality departments Coordinate with freight partners and suppliers to ensure smooth inbound logistics and shipment tracking Resolve issues related to goods receipts and discrepancies Provide stakeholders with timely updates on delivery schedules, quantities, and shortages Share forecast data with suppliers and monitor their fulfillment of safety stock requirements Escalate critical issues to the Sourcing team when necessary Participate in daily Tier meetings and supplier evaluations Carry out tasks assigned by the Manager

 

YOU MUST HAVE:

Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.) Quick to learn and adapt to new systems and processes Excellent organizational and time-management skills Fluency in both Hungarian and English (spoken and written)

Previous experience in a buying, procurement, or supply chain role Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems Strong communication and negotiation skills
