In 2019, the facility was designated as Meggitt’s Machining Center of Excellence, with state-of-the-art multi-axis milling, turning, and additive layer manufacturing equipment. + Parker Meggitt Fluid Systems Division – North Hollywood, California manufacturing features an upgraded 110k square foot, world-class manufacturing and testing facility. The facility has been designated as a Machining Center of Excellence within the Parker Meggitt group with recent additions of state-of-the-art multi-axis milling, turning, and additive layer manufacturing equipment. We also have testing capabilities for fluid and pneumatic valves that can duplicate modern aircraft systems' high temperatures, pressures, and flow rates. With our in-house design and development capabilities and growing product portfolio, we are in a leadership position for the next generation of high-performance aircraft engines and airframes. + Parker Meggitt Fluid Systems Division – North Hollywood, California facility designs and manufactures valves and controls that regulate the flow of air and fluids under pressure and high temperatures. Its pneumatic and fluid control lines include fuel, mixing, starter valves, air-oil separators, and solenoid valves used in commercial and military aircraft and aero engines. Industrial offerings provide fuel, bleed-air control valves, and ground fueling products for power generation and mechanical drives. Master Production Scheduler Position Summary TheMaster Production Schedulerwill maintain effective control of the backlog from order entry through shipment. The Master Production Scheduler ensures each order is planned and acted upon in a timely manner while providing as much visibility as required for a smooth flow of material. This will include identifying and reconciling problems or potential problems through interface with various departments. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: + Liaison with Contracts on loading and lead-time of all new Sales Orders o Monitor the sales backlog for his/her planner code o Ensure Delivery notes are raised in a timely manner with contracts to ensure + Time is allowed to Kit/Inspection and shipping within expected TAT. o Ensures timely delivery of all parts via Receiving and shipping departments o Prioritize material handling from receipt to shipment based on schedule requirements and department workload. + Coordinates the purchase and planning of materials required to meet the Production schedule. o Expedites and schedules orders to meet company and financial requirements. o Process changes, reschedules and outside processing that are required to accomplish the production schedule goals. o Places purchase orders. + Possesses knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing processes. o Determines time requirements for specific jobs and translates the production plan into a specific time schedule. o Review MRP order action messages, maintain schedule and visibility, and identify and resolve issues until shipment. o Generate work orders and issue purchase orders based on MRP messages. Negotiate prices, and deliveries that are consistent with schedule needs. + Ensure customer satisfaction by achieving on-time deliveries of quality products. Follow through on special requests and expedites. Identify potential late deliveries and plan recovery. QUALIFICATIONS: Education:Bachelor's Degree is required Experience: + 15+ years of experience working with increasingly progressive levels of responsibility in contracts within the aerospace industry. + Related contracting courses in government, commercial and international contracting, trade compliance, leadership, management, and program management desired. + Travel requirement: 10% annual Skills: + Minimum 2-4 years of experience as a planner + Minimum 5 years of experience in the production control field, including material/inventory management in a defense or aerospace environment a planner + A minimum of 5 years of experience in the production control field, including material/ inventory management in a defense or aerospace environment. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities List + Requires excellent planning, organizational and motivational skills. + Knowledge of JDE MRP system extremely helpful + Past MRP / ERP experience is a must + SAP knowledge desirable + General knowledge of machine shop practices and processing standards helpful. + Knowledge of military and commercial standards helpful. + Requires strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Computerized MRP system + Requires strong interpersonal communications (written and verbal) with a positive attitude and ability to motivate others. + Have the ability to prioritize workload and complete tasks on a timely basis. + Have the ability to maintain flexibility and be adaptable to the ever-changing needs of the company. + Must have the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with management as well as peers, suppliers, delivery personnel, and/or customers as circumstances dictate. + Must have a strong creative ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations where sound judgment is crucial. The ability to interpret and carry out instructions, both written and oral is essential. + Familiarity, interpretation and understanding of diagrams, graphs and/ or schedules as they may relate to this position are a must.
