Master Mobile Mechanic
Description

Position Summary Performs all top-level truck repairs on mobile equipment to include loaders, haul trucks, dozers, excavators, and other mobile equipment.  Shift Hours: 2pm – 12am This shift will include a night shift differential.  Requirements Observes and listens to equipment in operation to determine malfunctionsReads manuals, uses hand tools, power tools and knowledge of electrical, power transmissions, brakes, drivelines and other automotive systems to perform repair workReplace rollers and other wear items as requiredPerform welding, repair and fabricationPerforms data entry on all services performedManages fleet WO and PM scheduling and completion with team Proactive planning and maintenance repair on mobile fleet Operate mobile equipment as neededMaintains parts inventory and orders supplies as neededDemonstrate good knowledge of lock out/tag out procedure required during certain proceduresCommunicates/directs co-workers through hand signals and two-way radioAssists in training of co-workers as neededPerforms general clean-up of work areaRequired to follow all safety policies and proceduresMust demonstrate exemplary skills in the fieldRead, write and communicate in EnglishPeople leadership skills and ability to lead by example.Provide own personal tools up to ¾ Minimum EducationHS Diploma/GED or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this position2 to 5 years’ heavy equipment experienceCAT quarry/construction equipment / diesel engine repairsAbility to analyze, troubleshoot, and repairAdvance knowledge of engine, drive train, brake, electrical and hydraulics a plus Physical Requirements Ability to climb stairs, climb ladders, reach, squat, tolerate prolonged standing/walking, balance, bend from trunk, operate mobile equipment, crawl, kneel, push and pull objectsLift objects of various dimensions and weightsAbility to operate hand controls with both handsAbility to operate foot pedals with both feetAbility to perform sustained overhead reachingAbility to use vibration toolsAbility to perform work while lying on the back for prolonged periods of timeAbility to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weatherAbility to work in areas with the potential for high noise levelsAbility to work in cramped quartersAbility to tolerate working at heights up to 100 feet Working Conditions     All duties require outside assignments and require periods of work in all weather conditions-heat, cold, wet or dry, and dusty. Salary Posting:

We are excited to share the base range for this position is $39.00 - $55.00, exclusive of benefits or bonuses (discretionary and non-discretionary). The offered base hourly compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, business need, market conditions, proficiencies, skills, education, and experience. Additionally, at Martin Marietta we place a high value on internal pay equity and will consider the compensation for those in similarly situated roles and direct team members. The posted range for this role represents the total reasonable pay range and does not solely represent a hiring range. Therefore, hiring at the top or maximum of the range should not be expected as it would not allow for salary growth opportunities in the role, would diminish promotion value, and may not align with internal equity. In addition to our base compensation, we also offer a competitive benefits package for full time employees (more information on benefits listed below).
