Master Data Governance, Associate

Location:  KL Eco City, Mercu 3

Reports to: Accounts Payable Manager

Workplace type: Hybrid

Working hours: 1pm - 10pm (EMEA)
 

The Master Data Governance Associate will play a crucial role in managing day-to-day activities related to master data management for Ingredion affiliates in theEMEA region. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
 

Your responsibilities will include:

Vendor Master Data:Gather/Review documentation according to regional policies for vendor setup.Create, maintain, and ensure the accuracy of vendor master data in the SAP system.Collaborate with procurement and accounts payable teams to keep vendor information up to date.Monitor vendor data quality and assist in data cleansing initiatives.Customer Master Data:Create, update, and manage customer master data in the SAP system.Work closely with sales and customer service and credit teams to ensure customer information is accurate and current.Conduct regular audits of customer data to maintain high data quality standards.Material Master Data:Maintain and update material master data, including product descriptions, specifications, and classifications.Coordinate with production, inventory, and supply chain, quality and accounting teams to ensure material data accuracy.Perform data validation and cleansing to support efficient material management processes.Financial Master Data:Manage financial master data, including chart of accounts, cost centers, and FX rates.Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure financial data integrity.Support financial reporting and analysis by maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial master data.Data Quality and Standardization:Support data quality initiativesIdentifying and resolving data quality issues.

Projects and improvement:Collaborate with project teams to integrate master data requirements into system implementation and enhancement projects.

Stakeholder Collaboration:Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, procurement, and sales, to address master data-related challenges.Participate in SAP implementation projects, process, and system changes.Communicate effectively with business leaders, providing insights and recommendations based on master data analysis.

Audits:Provide timely and accurate responses to internal and external audit requirements.Implement audit recommendations to improve master data processes and controls.

You will be well suited for the role if you have:

Mandatory requirements:

A diploma/bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related fieldMinimum 1 year relevant experience in data governance fieldKnowledgeable and proficient in Microsoft Office suiteAble to communicate in EnglishAble to work from 1pm - 10pm

Desirable requirements:

Experience in SAP, Python, VBA macros will be desirableSecondary language will be added advantage (e.g: Thai, Mandarin, German)
