Massage Therapist (Part-Time)

Chenega Government Mission Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services’ company, is looking for a Massage Therapist to provide massage therapy services for the Clinton Service Unit (CSU), including Clinton/El Reno/ Watonga Indian Health Center’s (CIHC/EIHC/WIHC). The CSU facilities are an outpatient federal facility that provides ambulatory care for eligible Native American patients that are registered for services. Responsibilities Evaluates the neuro-musculo-skeletal systems as they pertain to the patient’s referral for treatment. Records the evaluation and designs a treatment program with goals set appropriately for the diagnosis. Provides on-going treatment and re-evaluations of the response to treatment as they relate to the goals. Utilizes appropriate manual skills and modalities to realize the goals for the patient. Documents on-going progress towards reaching goals and appropriate changes of the neuro-musculo- skeletal systems in the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Conduct patient visits for the purpose of determining appropriate plan of care regarding management of patient’s chronic pain. Provide treatment services and interventions as determined by evaluation of chiropractic and/or physical therapy and provide follow-up care as identified by treatment plan as outlined within Oklahoma statutes governing massage therapy care. This includes review of orthopedic exams, neurological exams, range of motion exams, muscle strength testing; diagnostic imaging procedures including MRI, CT, x-ray, and ultrasounds. Documents all visits in Resource and Patient Management System (RPMS) and EHR. Medical record documentation must meet or exceed the established standards of the CSU to include, but not limited to timeliness, legibility, accuracy, and content. All medical record information generated in the performance of this contract will remain the property of and subject to exclusive control of the IHS. Perform all required training timely for HIPPA and computer access, as required by CSU. Performs manual therapeutic massage as feasible and appropriate. Work with the Physical Therapy Supervisor and/or designees to establish the dates and times for the clinic. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications One (1) year experience as a massage therapist. Obtain a and maintain a current license from Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology and Barbering. Have current professional liability insurance. Reside within a 65-mile radius of CSU facilities. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: May be required to work after hours and weekend clinic to meet the needs of the communities we serve. Shall maintain standards of personal hygiene and grooming such that his/her image as a physician is compatible with the expectations of the on-site supervisor. Shall be required to develop familiarity and abide by current policies, procedures, by-laws, and regulation of the on-site clinical and medical staff. Excellent written and oral communication skills Shall possess sufficient initiative, interpersonal relationship skills and social sensitivity such that he/she can relate constructively to patients of the Native American/Alaska Native communities. Estimated Salary/Wage USD $28.00/Hr. Up to USD $30.00/Hr.
