**About the Role**
Airports contribute around 15% of the business in EMEA so is a very meaningful part of the business. Together with the regional leads and other stakeholders we manage the performance and growth of the airports and execute initiatives to improve on these. The Central Operations Manager role for Airports sits in the EMEA Central Operations Marketplace team. In this role, the operator, together with the Rider team, develops and executes marketplace strategy for our airport operations. Key marketplace functions that the person is responsible for executing include airports pricing, incentive strategy, matching solutions and other related airports marketplace technology management.
**What You'll Do**
- Help problem-solve complex business problems that are aimed at improving airports performance inside one specific airports or a collection of airports (archetype based)
- Lead cross-functional projects that target airports performance, collaborating closely with other functions within Central Ops and Uber, including Marketing, CRM, Community Operations, Product, Tax, Legal and Regional teams
- Formulate, manage, implement and monitor the rollout of our operational strategy, frameworks, tactics and processes
- Build and run operational processes
- Act as a thought partner for regional teams across EMEA
- Engage with HQ product teams to represent our markets and design new products
- Experiment with local markets to innovate on our operations
**Basic Qualifications**
- Ability to take initiative and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment
- Data-driven decision making mentality and sound business judgment through strong analytical thinking and experimentation
- Strategic & operational problem solving and creativity - you will design solutions that scale to multiple markets
- Solid communication and stakeholder engagement skills - you are able to rally people behind a common goal and easily generate buy-in if you’re facing push back
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Stellar project management skills. You have demonstrated impressive ability to lead initiatives at your organization
- You are comfortable dealing with uncertainty in a constantly-changing work environment
- SQL, Python, R or other marketing/CRM related analytics skills
- Ability to operate in complex mature organizations and influence decisions by getting alignment
- Strong collaborative mindset: we can be way more impactful if we work together
