KBR is seeking a MARKETING TECHNICAL LEAD to support our SPARC Team for KBR’s Science and Space division.
KBR is seeking a Marketing Technical Lead to support our SPARC Program for KBR’s Science and Space division. We provide solutions for NASA, federal-civilian agencies, the U.S. Department of Defense and commercial customers. Our services include astronaut training, health and human performance as well as a wide range of spacecraft and satellite development, operations and support services. In this role, you will be part of a groundbreaking opportunity to support research and treatment studies for brain health for our military and Veteran community. Working with a top tier research and study team, the Outreach and Education program supports study goals by building community support and awareness for the program’s initiatives, especially within the military and Veteran community. This position is full time and onsite in office, on location, and in the local community throughout the week. Local travel is expected 60% of the time.
The Marketing Technical Lead will be responsible for being the public-facing public relations coordinator through local physical presence in the community. Responsibilities will include assessing community outreach needs and collaborating with the project team to develop public relations approaches, strategies, and messaging to achieve the program’s objectives related to brain health education, awareness, and increasing study participation. This includes demonstrated skills to build community relationships, especially within the hospital and funeral home and Service Member community and the regional partners who serve them. The Marketing Technical Lead will provide the point of coordination across the team’s efforts and the primary interface with teams outside of the region as appropriate. A key aspect of this role assists assigned site staff in developing, executing, evaluating and modifying, and collecting vital data to ensure strategy execution, accountability, continuous improvement, and program effectiveness.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Research, assess, develop, design, and coordinate and conduct outreach initiatives with other team members to achieve study objectives in the assigned region. Support site staff by developing and executing site public relations strategy and Donor Coordinator by anticipating execution needs, support presentation development and other initiatives necessary to implement all outreach, event, presentation and engagement efforts.Coordinate across regions with peers to build a cohesive and standard approach.Provide daily outreach education in the local community and serve as public relations coordinator with site and team approaches across the region.Plan and coordinate outreach activities and coordination with hospitals, funeral homes, coroners, law enforcement, medical examiners, and liaison with same.Develop, execute, and monitor weekly, monthly, and quarterly strategic plans and their execution.Collect and report quantitative and qualitative data and activity tracking at regular intervals.Support, monitor, and trend the outreach initiative’s administrative tasks using program management tools such as Trello.Support overall program objectives through directed activities to achieve its mission. Comfortable in a highly collaborative setting.Comfortable presenting to and managing executive level relationships.Prepare promotional and outreach presentations and training materials as needed.Able to manage outreach activities in a large regionally geographic area and ensure accountability and effectiveness of approaches and strategy.REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Education: Must have a bachelor’s degree in the field of Marketing, Communications or a related field.Years of Experience: 5 years of marketing, public relations, and execution and outreach experience. An additional 8 years of experience will be accepted in lieu of degree.Prior experience researching, assessing, implementing, and coordinating outreach initiatives.Demonstrated experience utilizing creative marketing and outreach tools, i.e. print, audio, video, social media, tracking tools such as Trello.PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Prior experience working in hospitals, with law enforcement, military environments, or interacting with service member personnel and their families.Experience creating and implementing podcasts.KBR BENEFITS
