SUMMARY
The Marketing Specialist understands and applies the principles and practices of marketing in their day-to-day job, including applying key principles of cross-functional collaboration. The Marketing Specialist works to achieve assigned operational targets with direct impact on team results. Working closely with the Senior UK and Ireland Marketing Manager (MM) as well as the National Sales Director (NSD). The Marketing Specialist is responsible for broad Marketing support and projects plus administrative duties in support of the local sales and marketing organization. The role offers opportunities for exposure to a larger regional marketing organisation as well as learning about the MedTech industry. This is a fully remote home-based role in the UK.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, the Marketing Specialist must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
Business Planning & Execution: Assists in the execution of marketing plans and product launches, with growing knowledge of company processes and procedures.
Customer Insights & Analytics: Supports the team in market research activities, including third-party research, customer surveys, and competitive analysis.
Brand Strategy: Assists in the creation/development of marketing materials, including sales force collateral and expanding into customer-facing materials and product training.
Manage marketing events calendar and roadmap of activity as part of short-, medium- and long-term planning.
Support the National Sales Director with activities such as planning of regular sales meetings and management meetings, which will include administrative support tasks.
Creating and maintenance of data bases and Excel files relevant for Sales and Marketing
Support with implementation of new systems and procedures for the sales team.
Account mapping, customer database management and planning and implementing national customer mailings [for large groups] which will include crafting customer messaging.
Handling internal and external correspondence such as formatting letters/circular letters to customers, internal memos, etc.
Administration and organization of marketing material.
Accounting support including tracking budget spend, supplier set up, PO and invoice management etc.
Active support to the Professional Education and Training team in terms of event planning.
Working closely with the Marketing Manager to support national or regional marketing projects which may include Market research, Market analysis, Market Modelling, Promotional initiatives / campaigns.
In addition, the Marketing Specialist will be required to support ad hoc projects on an as needed basis that may form part of regional or corporate activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position:
Third Level [Bachelors] Marketing Degree or qualification.
A minimum of two years’ experience working in marketing discipline ideally in the medical device, medical sales or pharma industry.
Understanding of the medical device industry and NHS is desirable.
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
A flair for strong communication, ability to think creatively and work under pressure.
Strong Organizational skills with Attention to Detail.
Strong Collaboration: demonstrates ability to engage productively with functions outside of marketing to achieve business objectives.
Professional attitude in handling confidential information.
Normal office environment: must be computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Suite of Products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, Outlook.
