Position Overview
The Marketing specialist will support the Mustad USA and EQUINET marketing strategies. This position will play a key role in developing the strategic marketing plan and will be responsible for leading its execution for Mustad USA. This position drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention for EQUINET through digital marketing campaigns and light customer support. The Marketing specialist will also contribute to broader marketing initiatives across the Mustad Group, working closely with internal teams, tech partners, and external agencies to strengthen our digital presence and support farriers worldwide.
Essential Job Functions (required duties and responsibilities)

Marketing (Primary Focus – 70%)
+ Digital Campaign Execution: Plan and execute web, app, and email marketing campaigns to support user acquisition and engagement. Manage paid digital channels (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn) and build segmented email flows for onboarding and retention.
+ Website & Analytics Management : Maintain and update Websites, ensuring campaign setup, proper tracking, and reporting through tools like Google Analytics and Hotjar.
+ Social Media Management : Own and manage our social channels (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook). Schedule content, run campaigns, and track performance. Coordinate with regional teams for content inputs.
+ Content & Coordination : Create basic promotional visuals (Canva or similar), coordinate operational marketing tasks with internal teams (USA, EU and APAC) and external partners (EU agencies online), and support branded merchandise and event execution (trade shows, pop-ups in USA).
+ General activities: Responsible for executing shipment of product samples, maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting merchandise organization and distribution, and performing other duties as requested by your manager.
Customer Success (30%)
+ User Onboarding & Suppor t: Assist with onboarding new users by guiding them through key features and providing helpful resources.
+ Customer Communication : Serve as a point of contact for user feedback, questions, and light troubleshooting — escalating technical issues to the appropriate team.
+ Retention & Engagement: Identify user needs and help implement lifecycle communications (e.g. automated email sequences, in-app messages) to improve satisfaction and reduce churn.
+ Insights & Feedback: Collect and share user insights to help shape product and marketing priorities.
Education, Experience, and Skills Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
+ 3-5 years of experience with digital marketing (social, search, SEO, email, analytics)
+ Familiarity with CMS (e.g. WordPress) and tools like Hupspot, Canva, Google Analytics, and Hotjar
Desirable Skills/Attributes (preferred but not required)
+ Previous equine industry experience
+ Familiarity with SaaS platform operations or technical support environments.
+ A proactive mindset with the ability to self-manage and prioritize.
Physical Demands
+ Ability to travel 25% primarily domestically
+ Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
+ Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.
Work Environment
+ Office environment with moderate level of noise
+ On occasion, may enter factory or warehouse environment, with limited exposure to heat, humidity, dust fumes, gases, toxic/caustic chemicals, airborne particles; exposure to significantly loud noise and moving mechanical parts on production lines, as well as moving equipment throughout the factory
+ Mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which the company provides
