Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Marketing/Proposal Specialist to assist in writing and managing proposals for the Marketing Team. This role will work closely with business operations and support staff to bring strong leadership, sharp compliance, skilled writing, and creativity to some of our must-win West pursuits. The job includes leading large proposals and presentations, and supports from pre-RFP project positioning through to interview stage, as required.
Job Responsibilities:
Assists with large proposals and able to lead small to medium proposals (cross regions or business lines), and supports from capture through to interview stage, as required.Coordinates content and information for qualifications and proposals, including schedule, templates, compliance, content plan and production.Provides conceptual leadership for document design. May serve as lead writer/editor for resumes and past performance sections for proposals.May facilitate color review (Pink and Red team) reviews, and apply lessons learned to add value to proposals.Manages the implementation of proposal and presentation revisions based on direction from review teams.Participates in go/no-go and greenlight analyses in compliance with delegation of authority guidelines, capture planning and positioning activities as they pertain to preparation for the proposal.Completes internal debriefs for proposals they lead and reviews debriefs and reviews client feedback on proposals to ensure and demonstrate continuous improvement.Has solid working knowledge of company quality procedures and approval processes (legal, contracts, DOA, signatory).Liaises with appropriate/relevant business line team, operations, technical, and business development professionals to support or develop marketing information (including but not limited to case studies/project sheets and capabilities summaries).Provides guidance to entry level proposal team membersPerforms a self-check of work prior to submitting to others for review/approval.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
BA/BS in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing or a related field at least 3-4 years of managing design proposals, in particular winning work for facility design-bid-build and design-build pursuits or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.Preferred qualifications but not limited to:
Working knowledge of and interest in the A/E industry. A detailed knowledge of marketing best practices and procedures, work processes, and tools. A strong working knowledge of word processing programs (e.g., Microsoft Word), spreadsheet management (Excel), and presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint), as well as desktop publishing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite), graphics programs (e.g., InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop).A working knowledge of collaborative tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, etc.An understanding of CRM. Salesforce experience is a plus.Initiative, skill, and personal commitment to manage multiple projects and details concurrently, follow up, and bring tasks and projects to full completion.Ability to produce accurate, compliant, and compelling work independently and with others.Proven organizational and administrative skills, including the ability to complete varied work tasks on schedule, and lead deliverable efforts by others; and the proven ability to manage documents.An ability to meet non-negotiable client deadlines, sometimes with very fast turnaround times.Experience demonstrating leadership qualities.Additional InformationOpen to hybrid set-up: 2-3x per week in the officeOpen to any shift schedule, particularly with night shiftAbout AECOM
