Marketing's Global Event Team creates in-person, virtual and hybrid event experiences convening audiences across business, government, and philanthropy. We aim to connect regional and global teams to create a strategic, data-driven approach that’s unified and delivers on our company wide priorities while still meeting individual business objectives. Annually, we create, plan and execute 2,400+ events across a portfolio of virtual, in-person and hybrid events reaching 239K clients, prospects and employees in over 60 countries. By working across all Bloomberg businesses, commercial and franchise event groups, subsidiaries, and the foundation to create community and accountability around events.

As a key member of Bloomberg’s Global Events Team, you will be part of the global CORE team—our group of specialty experts and operational strategists responsible for turning vision into action across Bloomberg’s event ecosystem. Based in Asia-Pacific, you will be embedded within the regional Marketing team while reporting into the Global Programming & Speaker Engagement Team Leader in New York. This dual structure ensures you remain closely connected to global strategy while being deeply rooted in regional market dynamics.
In this role, you will shape the content and experience of our marquee Financial Solutions events by developing compelling agendas and securing high-impact external speakers. Your expertise in event marketing, content development, speaker engagement, and your deep understanding of the financial services sector will ensure our programs resonate with key client audiences in the region. You’ll also be called on to share your expertise with our marketing colleagues through the daily consultations and the creation of guides and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop editorially strong, audience-first event programs that align with global strategic objectives and reflect APAC market needs and nuances. Partner with marketing, sales, product, PR, and communications teams to shape session themes, formats, and speaker strategies. Identify, recruit, and manage influential speakers, including senior executives, thought leaders, and industry experts. Oversee the full speaker lifecycle—from initial outreach and briefing through on-site coordination and post-event follow-up. Monitor industry trends, emerging topics, and key voices to inform and evolve event content. Serve as a regional subject matter expert, providing strategic guidance and best practices to marketing managers, event leads, and business stakeholders. Build and maintain relationships with industry leaders, client executives, and internal partners to expand and strengthen our speaker and content network.
You'll need to have:
Minimum 8 years of experience in event programming, speaker engagement, or event marketing, ideally within a fast-paced, global, and client-facing organization. Strong understanding of the Asia-Pacific region from an events and audience engagement perspective, including cultural and market-specific considerations. Experience integrating events into broader marketing campaigns, with a strategic understanding of how events support brand and business objectives. Excellent communicator and presenter, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels—building trusted relationships across leadership, speakers, and cross-functional global teams. Proven ability to manage multiple high-impact projects under tight deadlines, with a flexible, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused approach. Comfortable working independently and exercising sound judgment, while seeking input when appropriate. Experience operating in a matrixed, global organization, with day-to-day collaboration at the regional level, direct reporting into a global manager and tight collaboration with team members and stakeholders based in other regions.
