About the team and the role: 

The Marketing Tools Team innovates and develops tool methodologies to drive eBay's Global Marketing strategy. Our team is composed of creative system architects and developers who excel at rapid thinking, adept problem-solving, and maintaining a proven focus on delivering solutions.

We are currently in search of a talented Marketing Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team to improve our ongoing development efforts, particularly through our Digital Asset Management System. The ideal candidate will demonstrate outstanding collaborative skills with partners, foster an encouraging team environment, and effectively navigate and eliminate potential obstacles. 

In addition to DAM management responsibilities, this candidate will own and maintain internal programs as well as provide coordination and support to the Campaign Planning team as needed. 

Below are the key responsibilities and qualifications required for this role.

Job Summary:
 

The Marketing Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring data discoverability, quality, and compliance by migrating files into our system and establishing standard processes across diverse platforms. This position supports the organization's AI integration efforts through data maintenance and enhancement.

Responsibilities:

Metadata Management: Migrate, develop, implement, and maintain metadata standards, policies, and procedures.

Cataloging: Create and manage metadata entries in data catalogs and repositories.

Quality Assurance: Monitor and audit metadata for completeness, accuracy, and alignment to standards.

Collaboration: Work closely with Planning, Ops, and business partners to understand metadata requirements across the organization.

Training & Support: Deliver training and support to users on Digital Asset Management System tools and AI System enhancements. 

Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of content catalog, metadata processes, standards, and workflows.

Ongoing Management: Manage and maintain the Feed Butters program, sync with Planning 

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Data Management, or a related field.

Experience with metadata management concepts, principles, and standard methodologies. Preferably around Digital Asset Management Systems like Bynder. 

Proficiency in data cataloging tools and metadata repositories.

Solid understanding of data governance principles and practices.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

Digital Asset Management Systems: Experience with specific metadata standards and frameworks (e.g.,Bynder, Dublin Core, MARC, etc.).

Software Development Expertise: Solid understanding in the full software development lifecycle. e.g. Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall, a

Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to design solutions and solve complex issues.

Technical Tools Knowledge: Familiarity with development frameworks and tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Monday.com, n8n, Bynder, AirTable, Jira or similar, along with experience in using databases. 

System and Architecture Understanding: Knowledge of system architectures, design patterns, and standard processes for creating robust and scalable software solutions.

Collaboration and Communication Skills: Good interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical partners.
