Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

OVERVIEW

The Marketing Manager is responsible for creating and executing consumer marketing activities for NBCUniversal’s filmed entertainment through consumer facing marketing and supporting B2B efforts within the German, Austrian and Swiss (G.A.S.) markets.

Based in our Munich office, the Marketing Manager will collaborate in the development and execution of marketing activities for the international Home Entertainment team based in London, as well as the Head Office team in LA. They will also spearhead local market initiatives and provide local development opportunities and a connection to a Global network of marketeers.

Our content distribution focuses on a variety of formats and includes Video On Demand (VOD), Premium VOD (PVOD), Electronic Sell-Through (EST) and Premium EST (PEST).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Formulate and deploy consumer marketing plans in collaboration with the Marketing Director/VP Marketing, Central London team and local digital account team to drive awareness and sales of NBCUniversal content.Work collaboratively with Central London team to ensure campaigns are nuanced and local media owners for G.A.S. markets are represented and considered.Manage local clients across the G.A.S. region - presenting upcoming titles, collaborating on in-market support, creating opportunities for Universal title promotion, and approving marketing materials that are developed by clients.Represent Universal on any industry bodies and trade-wide initiatives within the G.A.S. territories.In tandem with creative and brand teams in our Los Angeles HQ, develop, localise, and seek approval for campaign creative as required for the G.A.S. media plans.Support budget/spend tracking and financial pacing and ensure that all budget documentation is up to date and accurate.Align with Account Management, Trade and Creative Services teams to define strategic opportunities and priorities for title and key account support inc. asset delivery.Cultivate and maintain strong relationships across business units, e.g., Theatrical, consumer products, physical licensees, and brand / franchise teams to maximise lifecycle opportunities of titles.Collaborate and contribute to the briefing of PR/Influencer campaigns as and when strategy and budget dictates.Monitor campaign results closely and carefully manage media agency to deliver in-line with plansPerform other marketing duties and/or special required by Marketing Director

Qualifications

Qualifications

Several years of experience in marketing within a studio, label, or digital platform are highly valued.Fluent communication skills in both English and German, spoken and written, and feel confident using both languages in a professional settingFamiliarity and interest in the entertainment business – specifically the digital media and content distribution.Excellent written/oral communication, coordination skills, and attention to detail.Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills with an ability to work cross-functionally within a diverse team.Experience in building and maintaining key agency and customer relationships.Ability to handle short deadlines/turnarounds and multiple competing priorities.Hybrid working with 3 days in the office
