The upcoming launch of our newest CVRM product in the United States is set to be a critical milestone for AstraZeneca and for patients with hard to control hypertension.  As a Marketing Manager, you will be at the forefront of this groundbreaking launch, delivering on initiatives that will not only elevate the brand but also profoundly impact patient outcomes.   

 

As a Marketing Manager, located at our Wilmington, DE Commercial Headquarters, you’ll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients’ lives. The Marketing Manager is responsible for working with Brand Leadership and across global and partner collaboration teams to develop, execute and measure aspects of the brand strategy. This role is specifically focused on – but not limited to – launch promotional planning, positioning, disease education, and marketing campaigns.  

 

 

What you’ll do  

Collaborate with Associate Directors, Marketing Directors, and collaboration partners to design and facilitate the brand's promotional plan, ensure consistency with brand strategy  

Lead the execution of multichannel marketing plans for disease education with focus on development and implementation of unbranded and social efforts   

Work closely with Global Commercial Operations to support aspects of our messaging and execution to health care professional, including materials to support sales force, digital, social and other channels.  

Manage ad agency performance and staffing to support brand goals.  

Partner with Business Insights and Market Research Team to define success metrics and analyze performance programs  

Lead the review process to ensure legal/regulatory compliance and approval process for all marketing materials 

Participate in the annual operational planning process by shaping the tactical plan and budget required to achieve the brand's stated objective.  

Manage promotional budget associated with brand marketing activities  

Support and participate in team activities to build a positive work culture  

 

 

 

Essential for the role  

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or in the sciences  

Minimum 3 years of Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry OR 3 years of marketing or promotions experience with 1 year of pharmaceutical industry experience  

Demonstrated ability to lead without authority  

Ability to manage complex projects  

Comfort operating in a highly regulated environment and industry  

Strong communication and interpersonal skills  

 

 

Desirable for the role  

Experience as a medical/pharmaceutical sales representative and/or manager 

Advanced Degree in Business, Marketing, or Science  

Prior Cardiovascular, Renal, Metabolic (CVRM) area experience  

Experience launching new products or indications  

Experience in cross-channel, cross-customer marketing, technology and analytics  

Understanding of US healthcare system pricing and reimbursement
